I’ve fallen in love – yet again.
The other day Brooklyn Tweed published Wool People 8. And again there are so many gorgeous patterns!
I think I’ll have to quit my day job and just stay at home knitting. Not sure what my bank account or my boyfriend would say to that, but who needs money or a boyfriend if you have some absolutely gorgeous garments to knit?!

Ich habe mich verliebt – wieder mal.
Brooklyn Tweed haben kürzlich ihr Lookbook Wool People 8 herausgebracht und wieder einmal ist es gefüllt mit absolut fantastischen Designs. Ich glaub, ich muss bald meinen Job kündigen und einfach nur den ganzen Tag stricken (stell dir mal vor!). Bin mir zwar nicht ganz sicher was mein Bankkonto oder mein Freund dazu sagen würden, aber wer brauch schon Geld oder einen Freund, wenn man den ganzen lieben langen Tag so tolle Sachen stricken könnte?!
Meine Lieblingsdesigns sind dieses Mal (und genau in dieser Reihenfolge):

Finally – right on time for Socktober – I can show you some kneehighs I knitted already back in June for a friend of mine. It was her birthday in July. But then I constantly forgot to take the socks with me or she went on holiday (mostly I just forgot), so it was only today she finally received her present. It was a great pair of socks to knit and gosh, they are warm! All you women with cold feet out there: In these socks cold feet have absolutely no chance!
I knitted them after a pattern from Mayflower (pattern no.1075), which I unfortunately cannot seem to find online. I altered the pattern slightly in that I did not knit rib all across the socks, I chose different colours and added a little colour play in the top. I used Drops Big Fabel and they therefore practically knitted themselves.
Got cold feet? Knit a pair of those socks and your feet will be cold no more.

Endlich, pünktlich zum “Socktober”, kann ich dir endlich ein paar Kniestrümpfe zeigen, die ich bereits im Juni für eine Freundin gestrickt habe. Sie hatte im Juli Geburtstag, aber dann hab ich jedes Mal vergessen die Socken mit zu ihr zu nehmen oder sie war im Urlaub (meist hab ich sie schlicht und einfach vergessen). Deshalb hat sie ihre Socken erst heute bekommen. Diese Socken haben Spaß gemacht zu stricken und du glaubst gar nicht wie warm sie sind!
An alle Frauen mit kalten Füßen dort draußen: In diesen Socken haben kalte Füße keine Chance!
Die Anleitung ist von Mayflower (Anleitung Nr. 1075). Leider konnte ich sie nicht online finden, damit ich sie dir zeigen kann. Ich habe kleine Änderungen vorgenommen: Z.B. habe ich ausschließlich glatt gestrickt (außer die Bündchen), andere Farben benutzt und einen Farbwechsel an der oberen Kante hinzugefügt. Drops Big Fabel war das Garn der Wahl und deshalb haben sich die Socken praktisch wie von selbst gestrickt.
